She's of French German, Irish and Scottish descent. Jacobs' family was the owner of Jackson Koehler Eagle Brewery, founded at Erie Pennsylvania 1847. John Martin Magenau Jr. served as the post of CEO and President from 1978 until the brewery's closure in 1978. Jacobs began studying acting when she was eight years old and was enrolled in the acting class on Saturdays at the Pittsburgh Playhouse while growing up.She participated in the Pittsburgh Public Theater where she was a perennial contender in the Public's Shakespeare Monologue Contest leading her to be chosen in the role of Titania in its stage production A Midsummer Night's Dream. Mt. Jacobs and graduating in 2000 from Lebanon High School, moved into New York City New York where she studied at The Juilliard School. In 2004, she graduated with a Bachelor's Degree.
